About Us
QuiText is run by a team of ex-smokers. Each in our own way, we have at one time or another succumbed to the trap that is smoking, and more importantly, overcome our addictions. None of the members of QuiText found quitting easy but one thing we all agreed on was that preparation, a real desireto succeed and going "Cold Turkey" ultimately proved the best way to win.
...One of our colleagues actually started to enjoy the cravings...
For us, it's all about the right frame of mind. It took some of us years to come to the conclusion that we wanted to stop. All that worrying, debating, internal dialogue, guilt. The stained fingers, the yellowing teeth. "Tickly lungs" and coughs. Could I be getting cancer? Are those heart palpitations normal for someone my age? Eventually, for everyone, it comes down to one almost crazily simple scenario.
One day you're going to smoke your last cigarette. You'll smoke it as you always have and eventually you'll finish it. You will then stub it out on an ashtray and throw the empty packet away.
And then you'll never smoke another cigarette again in your life.
For us at QuiText, we also realised something else. Quitting wasn't as hard as we had each built it up to be when we were smokers. Sure, we had cravings and yes, they were intense at times. We had a mixture of lethargy, nausea and bizarrely even bursts of energy. With the right frame of mind however, cravings were overcome. We broke down our triggers and re-conditioned our habits. One of our colleagues actually started to enjoy the cravings! You see, knowing what they were and what they meant signaled that he was kicking the habit. His body was fighting back. At QuiText, we want you to fight back.
So from all of us here, good luck with whatever you choose and we hope you'll find a way to be smoke free soon.
The QuiText team.
